Zeiss produce 3 variants of Upright Microscopes:
Primostar
No matter if you need a microscope for education, training or routine lab work: Primostar 3 is the easy-to-use, compact and long-lasting instrument that turns your investment into the right choice for long working hours even in the most space-limited environments. Your students, trainees and lab staff can focus on the essentials from the very start – just choose the ideal microscope configuration for your tasks and applications from our pre-defined packages and you are ready to go. Primostar 3 comes pre-configured out of the box for a true plug & play experience, making it your reliable partner in microscopy today and in the years to come.
Axiolab 5
Axiolab 5 is made for the routine microscopy work that goes on every day in your lab. Its compact and ergonomic design saves space and makes for easy handling. Axiolab 5 is a real team player. Combine it with Axiocam 208 color and take full advantage of the smart microscopy concept: you’ll be experiencing a completely new form of digital documentation. Just focus your sample and press a single button for crisp images in true color. The digital image will look like you see it through the eyepieces, with all the details and subtle color differences clearly visible.
Plus, Axiolab 5 automatically adds the correct scaling information to your images. You get all of this in a standalone operation, without needing a PC or any additional software. Save time, money and valuable lab space with Axiolab 5. Digital documentation has never been easier.
Axioscope
Acquiring fluorescent images has never been so easy. Combine Axioscope 5 with the LED light source Colibri 3 and the sensitive, standalone microscope camera Axiocam 202 mono to have the perfect setup for easy multichannel fluorescence documentation. Switch effortlessly between the channels for UV, blue, green and red excitation. Just select the relevant channels and press Snap. The system then takes over and automatically adjusts the exposure time, acquires the image, switches the channel and starts again. That’s it: you get your overlayed multichannel fluorescence image including scale bar – even without a PC. Axioscope 5 and Axioscope 7 are designed with ergonomics in mind. The microscopes feature an adjustable ergotube, allowing you to modify the eyepiece height and angle to match your natural posture. All essential buttons and controls are within easy reach, reducing the risk of repetitive strain injuries. The light manager automatically adjusts the illumination, you don’t need to manually adjust lamp brightness, saving time and reducing eye fatigue.
Axio Imager 2
Axio Imager 2 for Life Sciences Research
Your upright research microscope for sophisticated imaging in fluorescence and transmitted light. Axio Imager 2 combines all the features you’ve always wanted for your work environment in research: brilliant optics and bright fluorescence. The integrated contrast manager and the programmable light manager guarantee defined conditions and reproducible results at all times.
Axio Imager 2 for Materials Research
Your upright microscope for advanced materials research. Improve your workflow through a coded or motorized easy to use system. Axio Imager 2 delivers accurate, reproducible quality and process control results.
Axio Imager 2 for Polarized Light
Combine the benefits of Axio Imager 2 with the excellent imaging quality in polarized light. The coded or motorized components always deliver accurate and reproducible results.
Axio Imager Vario for large samples
Analyze non-destructively smallest MEMS sensors up to XXL wafers or even entire flat screens. Thanks to a possible sample height of up to 254 mm and a lateral distance of up to 300 mm, Axio Imager Vario allows you to examine a maximum sample size.
Axio Examiner
ZEISS Axio Examiner is a fixed stage microscope for patch-clamp experiments on nerve cells and brain slices. With its design optimized for low vibration and generous room for micromanipulation and patch clamp accessories, Axio Examiner enables undisturbed low-noise single-channel recordings. Experimental workstations for upright electrophysiology typically involve complex setups for demanding micromanipulation. Access to the specimen space is one of the most important requirements. Large fixed stages offer the possibility of adjusting the microscope appropriately during an ongoing experiment – without disturbing the sensitive experimental setup. Axio Examiner offers exceptional flexibility in configuring your microscope from four upper bodies, two lower bodies and a large number of different components and motorization options to ideally meet your individual requirements.
